The privately-held company, known as HOHESA, is engaged in the production and commercialization of pre-mixed concrete. It was founded in 1978 and has its registered office located in Merida, Spain. The company operates four production facilities in Spain: three in Guayaquil and one in Santa Elena. As a market leader in the manufacture of pre-mixed concrete products in Spain, it aims to provide quality products and services to the construction sector. The company is also an active member of the Federación Iberoamericana del Hormigón Premezclado (FIHP), and El Instituto Ecuatoriano del Cemento y el Concreto (INECYC). The company operates as a subsidiary of Cimentos de Portugal SA (CIMPOR), a Spanish manufacturer and exporter of cement, hydraulic lime, concrete, aggregates, pre-cast concrete, dry mortars and other related products.
